Composio Pricing Compared with Nango, Arcade, Pipedream, and Swytchcode

Composio is free for 100,000 tool calls a month, then $29. Nango is $50 pay-as-you-go. Arcade Team is $25 plus a cent a call. Pipedream Startup is $99 billed annually. Swytchcode is $149 for a million. The headline prices are the least useful part, so here is the arithmetic.

Key takeaways

  • -Composio's free Hobby plan is the most generous in the category: 100,000 tool calls a month with unlimited connected accounts.
  • -At a million calls a month the order reverses: Swytchcode Business is $149 flat against roughly $10,025 on Arcade and $11,979 on Pipedream.
  • -These products meter different work. A tool call, a connection, an auth event, a 30-second credit and a live command are five different units.
  • -Pipedream's free plan is development only. There is no production environment on it.
  • -Composio prices an IP allowlist and a BAA per tool call, so some compliance costs scale with your traffic.

Composio's published price in October 2026 is a free Hobby plan covering 100,000 tool calls a month, then Pro at $29 a month. Nango's pay-as-you-go plan is $50 a month. Arcade Team is $25 a month plus usage. Pipedream Startup is $99 a month billed annually, or $150 billed monthly. Swytchcode is free for 100 live commands a month, $29 for 10,000 and $149 for a million.

Lining those numbers up is easy and almost useless, because these five products do not bill for the same work. A Composio tool call, a Nango connection, an Arcade auth event, a Pipedream credit and a Swytchcode live command are five different units. Comparing them directly is like comparing a phone plan's minutes to another's gigabytes.

So this post does two things: it lists what each vendor actually publishes, and then it works out what you would pay at three realistic volumes.

Pro includes a $29 monthly usage credit that does not roll over, plus spend controls. No annual prices are published. Several controls are add-ons rather than plan features: an IP allowlist at $0.0001 per tool call, a BAA at $0.0003 per tool call, advanced white-labelling at $0.30 one-time per connection, and zero data retention. SSO, SCIM and customer-managed keys are Enterprise only. On Hobby, usage pauses at the cap rather than billing you.

Nango

Data transfer10GB/mo$0.50/GBCustom

Free limits are hard-capped and reset monthly. A Growth add-on is $450 a month for a private Slack channel and a five-day integration turnaround. Enterprise adds self-hosting, SAML SSO, SCIM, RBAC, HIPAA with a BAA and an audit trail.

Arcade

Auth events2,000/mo$0.10 eachDiscounted, annual bundle

Enterprise can deploy on Arcade Cloud, in your VPC or fully air-gapped, with SSO, RBAC, audit logs and private registry access. The $0.10 auth event is the line to model if your customers re-authorize often.

Pipedream

One credit is 30 seconds of compute, consumed by actions, MCP tool calls, Connect proxy requests and events from deployed triggers. Management calls are free. The development-only free plan is the detail people miss: you cannot ship on it. SSO, SCIM, HIPAA and static egress IPs are Business tier.

Allow and deny rules are on every tier including Free. The first two live commands need no account at all. Enterprise deploys into your own AWS, Azure or GCP account so application data and API keys stay in your environment, and adds SSO, RBAC, audit export and a choice of region.

What you would actually pay

Here is the same question answered three times, using the published rates above. The assumption is one API call per unit, which is the simplest honest reading of each meter.

At 10,000 calls a month

PlatformMonthly costHow
Composio Hobby$0Inside the 100,000 free allowance
Swytchcode Pro$2910,000 live commands included
Pipedream Startup$99Inside the 10,000 included credits, annual billing
Arcade Team$125$25 + 10,000 x $0.01

At 100,000 calls a month

PlatformMonthly costHow
Composio Hobby$0Exactly at the free allowance
Swytchcode Business$1491,000,000 live commands included
Arcade Team$1,025$25 + 100,000 x $0.01
Pipedream Startup$1,179$99 + 90,000 x $0.012

At 1,000,000 calls a month

PlatformMonthly costHow
Swytchcode Business$149Flat, at the tier cap
Composio Pro$29 + usage$29 base; 900,000 billable calls at $0.0003 is $270, less the $29 credit
Arcade Team$10,025$25 + 1,000,000 x $0.01
Pipedream Startup$11,979$99 + 990,000 x $0.012

Three things fall out of that.

Composio's free tier is genuinely the best in the category, and we are happy to say so. If you are under 100,000 tool calls a month, nothing here beats $0 with unlimited connected accounts. Anyone telling you otherwise is selling something.

Per-call pricing is where the bills hide. A cent a call sounds like nothing. At a million calls it is $10,000 a month. Arcade and Pipedream are both fine at moderate volume and both get expensive in a way that is easy to miss when you are reading a pricing page at 50 calls a day.

Nango is not on these tables because it does not bill by call. It bills by connection, compute hour and gigabyte. If you have 1,000 customers connected, pay-as-you-go is roughly $290 a month in connection fees before compute. That is the right shape for a product with many customers and modest per-customer traffic, and the wrong shape to compare against a per-call meter.

Why the cheapest row is the wrong comparison

Set aside the arithmetic for a second. The five units measure five different kinds of work.

A Composio tool call is a call through a hosted catalog running on Composio's infrastructure, including the OAuth handling. A Nango connection is one customer account linked to your product, with the integration code in your repository. An Arcade auth event is one end-user authorization. A Pipedream credit is 30 seconds of compute. A Swytchcode live command is one request that has been schema-checked, policy-evaluated, credential-injected, retried where appropriate, validated on the way back and written to an audit log.

So the real question is not which number is smallest. It is which job you are buying.

A team that needs every customer to connect their own Gmail will not get that from Swytchcode's free tier at any price, because we do not host that connect screen. A team that only needs one API call to be provably safe should not pay for a catalog of 1,500 toolkits to get it. We laid out that split in full in best tools for AI agents to call APIs, and the product-by-product version is in Composio alternatives.

Catalog tiles on one side, a single execution pipeline on the other

The costs that are not on any pricing page

Two line items never appear in a tier comparison and both are real.

The cost of a duplicate write. If a retried tool call sends a second refund, the money is gone and someone spends an afternoon reconciling it. Whether the platform supplies an idempotency key across retries is worth more than a few dollars of per-call pricing. See idempotency explained.

The cost of a drifted API. When a vendor renames a parameter, you either wait on a catalog update or you write the call yourself. Both cost engineering days, and neither is on the pricing page. Every API added to Swytchcode becomes agent-ready in minutes and is then tracked for breaking changes by observing its specs and documentation, which is an attempt to make that cost somebody's job rather than nobody's. The failure mode without it is described in why AI coding agents keep using deprecated APIs.

How to price your own case in ten minutes

  1. Count calls per month, not per day. Multiply your busiest day by 30, not your average.
  2. Count connected customer accounts separately. That is a different meter on Nango and Arcade.
  3. Decide whether your free tier needs a production environment. Pipedream's does not have one.
  4. Check whether a compliance control you need is a plan feature or a per-call add-on. On Composio Pro, an IP allowlist and a BAA are per-call.
  5. Add the two off-page costs above, even roughly.

Then read the four pricing pages yourself: composio.dev/pricing, nango.dev/pricing, arcade.dev/pricing, pipedream.com/pricing and swytchcode.com/pricing.

FAQ

How does Composio pricing compare with other platforms that connect agents to APIs?

On the October 2026 list prices, Composio Pro at $29 a month sits beside Arcade Team at $25 plus usage and Swytchcode Pro at $29, under Nango's $50 pay-as-you-go and Pipedream Startup at $99 billed annually. The free allowances are where the real difference is: Composio gives 100,000 tool calls a month with unlimited connected accounts, Arcade 2,000 tool calls and 2,000 auth events, Nango 10 connections, Swytchcode 100 live commands, and Pipedream's free plan is development only.

Is Composio free?

Yes, the Hobby plan is free with no credit card and includes 100,000 tool calls, 50,000 trigger events, 1 million sandbox LLM tokens and unlimited connected accounts each month, with three team members and a 2,000 requests per minute rate limit. When you reach the cap, usage pauses rather than billing you.

Which is cheapest at high volume?

At a million calls a month, Swytchcode Business is $149 flat and Composio Pro is $29 plus roughly $270 of metered calls less the $29 credit. Arcade Team works out at about $10,025 and Pipedream Startup at about $11,979, because both bill per unit with no high-volume flat tier below Enterprise. Per-call pricing is the thing that changes the answer, not the base fee.

Why is Swytchcode's free tier only 100 calls when Composio gives 100,000?

Because the units are not the same and the products are not the same. A Composio tool call is a call through their hosted catalog. A Swytchcode live command is a fully executed call that has been schema-checked, policy-evaluated, credential-injected, retried if appropriate, validated and logged. The free tier is sized for evaluating that pipeline, not for running production traffic. At production volume, Swytchcode Business is 1,000,000 live commands for $149.

Does Pipedream have a free production plan?

No. The free plan is development only and has no production environment. Production starts at Startup, which is $150 a month billed monthly or $99 billed annually. This is the single most common misreading of their pricing page.

What does an auth event mean on Arcade's pricing?

It is one end-user authorization, billed at $0.10 on the Team plan with 2,000 included free each month. If your product re-authorizes customers frequently, or you have many customers each making few calls, auth events can end up larger than your tool-call line. Model both before committing.

Do any of these publish annual discounts?

Swytchcode does: $290 a year against $29 a month, and $1,490 a year against $149 a month. Pipedream prices Startup at $99 a month billed annually against $150 billed monthly. Composio, Nango and Arcade did not publish annual prices on the pages we read in October 2026.

All figures in this post were read directly from each vendor's own pricing page in October 2026. Pricing in this category changes often. Check the live pages before you commit, and tell us if something here has gone stale.
